Description
This medicine inhibits the enzyme which degrades carbohydrates to glucose, and delays glucose absorption from the small intestine.
It is usually used to improve postprandial hyperglycemia caused by diabetes mellitus.

Effect/Efficacy
This medicine inhibits the enzyme which degrades carbohydrates to glucose, and delays glucose absorption from the small intestine.
It is usually used to improve postprandial hyperglycemia caused by diabetes mellitus.
Usage/Dosage
In general, for adults, take 0.2 mg of the active ingredient at a time immediately before meals, 3 times a day. If the effect is insufficient, the dosage may be increased to 1 tablet (0.3 mg) at a time immediately before meals, 3 times a day, adequately monitoring the condition. This preparation contains 0.3 mg of the active ingredient in a tablet. Strictly follow the instructions.
This medicine may be taken without water. It may be moistened with saliva on the tongue, then lightly squashed with the tongue, and swallowed with saliva. It may also be taken with water or lukewarm water like usual drugs.
If you miss a dose, take a dose immediately before the next meal. You should never take two doses at one time.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
Cautions
If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have ketosis (deep massive breath, loss of consciousness, shivering of hands, etc.), diabetic coma or precoma, infections or external injury.
If you are in the pre-/post-operative period.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Strictly follow the instructions on dietary/exercise therapy.
This medicine may cause hypoglycemic symptoms (lassitude, a strong sense of hunger, cold sweat, palpitation, shivering of limbs, decreased consciousness, etc.). If hypoglycemic symptoms occur, take glucose.
This medicine may cause hypoglycemic symptoms . Pay close attention when working at heights or operating dangerous machinery, such as driving a car.
Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
Contraindication
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include diarrhea, flatus, abdominal distension, rash, itch and photosensitivity. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
- lassitude, severe hunger, sweat [hypoglycemia]
- abdominal distension, flatulence, increase of flatus [ileus]
- general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes [fulminant hepatitis, serious liver dysfunction, jaundice]
- constipation, flapping tremor (shivering), decreased consciousness [exacerbation of hyperammonemia, consciousness disorder]
