This medicine blocks activities of dopamine in the stomach and duodenum to improve gastrointestinal motility.
It is usually used to treat gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite) in chronic gastritis, gastroptosis, postgastrectomy syndrome and anti-malignant medicine or levodopa preparation administration in adults, and in periodic vomiting, upper respiratory tract infection and anti-malignant tumor medicine administration in children.

Usage/Dosage

For adults: In general, take 2 tablets (10 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, three times a day, before meals. If you are taking levodopa preparation, take 1 to 2 tablets (5 to 10 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, three times a day, before meals. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms.
For children: In general, take 1 to 2 mg of the active ingredient per kilogram of the body weight a day, in three divided doses, before meals. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age, body weight or symptoms. The maximum daily dose is 30 mg of the active ingredient. For children aged 6 or older, the maximum daily dose is 1 mg of the active ingredient per kilogram of the body weight.
This medicine contains 5 mg of domperidone in a tablet. Strictly follow the instructions in any case.
If you miss a dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Cautions

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
If you have: gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical ileus, gastrointestinal perforation, prolactin-secreting pituitary tumor, heart disease, hepatic disorder or renal disorder.
If you are pregnant, possibly pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
This medicine may cause sleepiness, dizziness and lightheadedness. Be aware of operating in potentially hazardous activities such as driving a car.
Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
Discard the remainder. Do not store them. If you do not know how to discard, seek advice of your dispensing pharmacy or medical institution. Do not give the unused medicines to others.

Contraindication
-
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include gynecomastia, palpitation, abdominal discomfort, dry mouth, hives, rash and itch. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
rash, respiratory distress, facial edema[shock, anaphylaxis]
ocular lateral attack, tremor (tremoring limbs), muscle stiffness[extrapyramidal symptoms]
decreased consciousness, impaired mind, sudden muscle contraction[consciousness disorder, convulsion]
general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowing in skin and white of eyes[hepatic dysfunction, jaundice]
