      This medicine inhibits the enzyme which degrades incretin, a hormone adjusting blood glucose level. Consequently, it enhances insulin secretion depending on blood glucose level, and improves blood glucose control.
      It is usually used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus.

  • Effect/Efficacy
      This medicine inhibits the enzyme which degrades incretin, a hormone adjusting blood glucose level. Consequently, it enhances insulin secretion depending on blood glucose level, and improves blood glucose control.
      It is usually used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus.
  • Usage/Dosage
      In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (20 mg of teneligliptin) at a time, once a day. If the effect is insufficient, the dose may be increased up to 2 tablets (40 mg) at a time, once a day. Strictly follow the instructions.
      If you miss a dose, take a dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
      If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Cautions
      If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
      If you have ketosis, diabetic coma or precoma stage, type 1 diabetes mellitus, infection, in pre/post operative period, trauma.
      If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
      If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

      Strictly follow diet and exercise therapy instructed by your doctor.
      This medicine may cause hypoglycemia symptoms. Take care in working at heights, driving a car or operating machinery requiring alertness.
      If any of hypoglycemia symptoms occur, take sufficient amount of sugar (sugar, glucose, soft drinks, etc.). If you concomitantly take α-glucosidase inhibitor (a medicine that delays absorption of sugar), take glucose in case of any hypoglycemia symptoms.

      Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
      Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
  • Contraindication
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include hypoglycemia, constipation, feeling of abdomen enlarged, abdominal discomfort, nausea, abdominal pain, meteorism, stomatitis, eczema, rash, pruritus, dermatitis and malaise. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
      cold sweat, hungry feeling, tremor of limbs [hypoglycemia]
      severe constipation, feeling of abdomen enlarged, continued abdominal pain [intestinal obstruction]
      general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin or the whites of the eyes [hepatic function disorder]
      dry cough, respiratory distress, fever [interstitial pneumonia]
      rash with blister [pemphigoid]
      The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.
