This medicine stimulates intestinal tract wall and promotes movement of intestine to prompt defecation.
It is usually used for defecation in the case of constipation or intestinal disease.

Usage/Dosage

In general, for adults, instill 1 enema (15 g of the active ingredient) at a time, into the rectum. The dosage may be adjusted according to disease and symptoms of the patient. Strictly follow the instructions.
Use this medicine only for enema and insert it carefully not to injure rectal mucosa.
Read the instruction, (How to use GLYCERIN ENEMA OHTA and attentional point) and use this medicine. (This instruction is written only in Japanese).
If you miss a dose, use a dose as soon as you remember. You should never use two doses at one time.
If you accidentally use more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Cautions

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have intestinal hemorrhage, intraperitoneal inflammation, intestinal perforation or risk of it, general debility or suspicion of acute abdomen (nausea, vomiting and severe abdominal pain).
If you are immediately after lower gastrointestinal tract operation.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
Discard the remainder. Do not store them.

Contraindication

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include rash, abdominal pain, rectal discomfort, anal discomfort/hot feeling and change in blood pressure. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
