      This medicine includes an active vitamin D which promotes intestinal calcium absorption, supplements calcium deficiency and prevents bone fragility.
      It is usually used to treat osteoporosis and to improve various symptoms associated with abnormal vitamin D metabolism.
  • Effect/Efficacy
      This medicine includes an active vitamin D which promotes intestinal calcium absorption, supplements calcium deficiency and prevents bone fragility.
      It is usually used to treat osteoporosis and to improve various symptoms associated with abnormal vitamin D metabolism.
  • Usage/Dosage
      For osteoporosis: In general, for adults, take 1 to 2 tablets (0.5 to 1.0 mcg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day. For children, take 0.01 to 0.03 mcg/kg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day.
      For chronic renal failure: In general, for adults, take 1 to 2 tablets (0.5 to 1.0 mcg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day. For children, take 0.05 to 0.1 mcg/kg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day.
      For hypoparathyroidism, vitamin D-resistant rickets/osteomalacia: In general, for adults, take 2 to 8 tablets (1.0 to 4.0 mcg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day. For children, take 0.05 to 0.1 mcg/kg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day.
      In any of the above cases, the dosage may be adjusted according to the disease, age or symptoms. This preparation contains 0.5 mcg of the active ingredient in a tablet. Strictly follow the instructions.
      If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
      If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Cautions
      If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
      If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
      If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

      Do not take any over-the-counter medicines or dietary supplements containing a large amount of calcium or vitamin D without consulting your doctor. Excessive intake of calcium and vitamin D would be of concern.

      Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from light, heat and moisture.
      Discard the remainder. Do not store them. Ask the pharmacist or medical institution how to discard them.
  • Contraindication
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include itch, nausea, gastric distress, loss of appetite, diarrhea, constipation, gastric pain and conjunctival hyperemia. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
      thirst, decreased urine output, edema [acute renal failure]
      general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowness in the skin or white of the eyes [liver dysfunction, jaundice]
