It is usually used to treat hypertension and angina pectoris.

Usage/Dosage

General dosage is as follows:
■ Hypertension:
For adults, take 0.5 to 1 tablet (2.5 to 5 mg of amlodipine) at a time, once a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms. If its effect is insufficient, the dosage may be increased up to 2 tablets (10 mg), once a day.
For children 6 years old or over, take 0.5 tablet (2.5 mg) at a time, once a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age, body weight or symptoms. However, the maximum daily dose is 1 tablet (5 mg).
■ Angina pectoris:
For adults, take 1 tablet (5 mg of amlodipine) at a time, once a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms.

In any case, strictly follow the instructions.
If you miss a dose and have hypertension, do not take the missed dose on that day and follow your regular dosing schedule from the following day. If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
