  • Description
      This medicine activates gastric and duodenal motility through regulatory effects on gastrointestinal motility. It also suppresses nausea by acting on central and peripheral vomiting.
      It is usually used to treat abnormal gastrointestinal function (nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite and abdominal bloating) associated with gastritis, gastric/duodenal ulcers, gallbladder/biliary diseases, nephritis, infant vomiting, drug administration, astrointestinal / tracheal intubation or irradiation, or after laparotomy.
      It is also used for acceleration of the intestinal transit of barium during an X-ray examination.
  • Effect/Efficacy

  • Usage/Dosage
      In general, for adults, take 2 to 6 tablets (10 to 30 mg as metoclopramide hydrochloride) in two to three divided doses a day, before meals. The dosage may be adjusted according to the disease, age or symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions.
      If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. You should never take two doses at one time.
      If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Cautions
      If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
      If you are suspected of pheochromocytoma.
      If you have bleeding/perforation/obstruction of the digestive tract.
      If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
      If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
      This medicine may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Do not operate dangerous machinery, such as driving a car.
      Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
      Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
  • Contraindication
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include tremor of fingers (shivering), muscle rigidity, neck/face spasm (convulsion), oculogyric crisis, irritability, amenorrhea, lactation, gynecomastia, rash and edema. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
      respiratory distress, pharyngeal edema, hives [shock, anaphylactoid symptoms]
      muscle rigidity, swallowing difficulty, sweating [[malignant syndrome]
      decreased consciousness, impaired mind, impaired judgment [consciousness disorder]
      convulsive muscle contraction [convulsion]
      involuntary movements around the mouth [tardive dyskinesia]
      The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.
