This medicine blocks the receptor β1 which transmit the excitation of the sympathetic nerve to heart and reduces the excess work of the heart to show antihypertensive, antianginal, antiarrhythmic and anti-heart failure effect.
It is usually used to treat essential hypertension (mild to moderate), angina, premature ventricular contraction and chronic heart failure caused by ischemic heart disease, dilated cardiomyopathy and atrial fibrillation with tachycardia.

It is usually used to treat essential hypertension (mild to moderate), angina, premature ventricular contraction and chronic heart failure caused by ischemic heart disease, dilated cardiomyopathy and atrial fibrillation with tachycardia.

Usage/Dosage

Essential hypertension (mild to moderate), angina, premature ventricular contraction: In general, for adults, take 2 tablets (5 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to disease, age and symptoms of the patient.
Chronic heart failure caused by ischemic heart disease or dilated cardiomyopathy: In general, for adults, initially take 0.625 mg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day. If you have tolerance (have no difficulty) in taking this medicine for more than two weeks, the dose will be increased to 1.25 mg at a time, once a day. Further, if you have more tolerance, the dose will be increased stepwise at intervals of more than 4 weeks. If you do not have the tolerance, the dose will be decreased. The dose change is always adjusted stepwise and you usually take 0.625 mg, 1.25 mg, 2.5 mg, 3.75 mg or 5 mg at a time once a day. Depending on your age and symptoms, the initial dose may be lower and the dose may be increased at a smaller dose range.
In general, take 1.25 to 5 mg at a time, once a day as maintenance dose. It will be adjusted according to the effects of this medicine. DO NOT exceed the daily maximum dosage, 2 tablets (5 mg) at a time, once a day.
Atrial fibrillation with tachycardia:In general, for adult, take 1 tablet (2.5 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day. If the effect is insufficient, the dosage will be increased up to 2 tablets (5 mg) at a time, once a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to age and symptoms of the patient. DO NOT exceed the daily maximum dosage, 2 tablets (5 mg).
This preparation contains 2.5 mg of the active ingredient in a tablet. Strictly follow the instructions in any case.
If you miss a dose, take a dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Cautions

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have bradycardia, atrioventricular block, sinoatrial block, sick sinus syndrome, diabetic ketoacidosis, metabolic acidosis, cardiogenic shock, right-sided heart failure caused by pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, peripheral circulatory disturbance or untreated pheochromocytoma.
If you are pregnant, possibly pregnant or breastfeeding
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
This medicine may cause dizziness/lightheadedness. Be aware of operating in potentially hazardous activities such as driving a car.
Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
Discard the remainder. Do not store them.

Contraindication

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include bradycardia, hypotension, dizziness, lightheadedness, malaise, swelling and respiratory distress. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
