It is commonly used to treat bronchial asthma, atopic dermatitis and allergic rhinitis. This medicine is not designed to rapidly alleviate already occurring asthma attacks or symptoms.

Usage/Dosage

General dosage regimen: For adults, take 1 capsule (equivalent to 100mg of suplatast tosilate) 3 times daily after each meal. The dose can be decreased or increased according to the patient's age and condition. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.
take the medication as soon as you remember. However, if you remember your medicine at a point close to the time for the next dose, skip one dose and proceed with the prescribed schedule of medication starting from the next dose. DO NOT take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
If you took too much of this medicine (more than ordered), check with your doctor/pharmacist.
Do not stop taking your medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Cautions

If you ever experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash etc.) to any medicine.
If you are a patient with liver damage.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist:
stomach discomfort, nausea, sleepiness, rash.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
tiredness, appetite loss, fever, nausea [hepatic dysfunction]
decrease of urinary output, swelling (general), difficult breathing [nephrotic syndrome]
The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.
Keep out of the reach of babies, infants and children. Avoid direct sunlight and store in a cool dry place.
If you have any left-over medicine, be sure to discard it.
