Usage/Dosage

In general, for adults, start with 1 tablet (0.625 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day. If this medicine is tolerated (or taken without any problem) for at least 2 weeks, the dosage may be increased to 2 tablets (1.25 mg) at a time, once a day. Then, if this is tolerated, the dosage may be gradually increased in a stepwise manner at intervals of at least 4 weeks. If not, the dosage may be reduced. The dosage must be increased or decreased step by step, with 1 tablet (0.625 mg), 2 tablets (1.25 mg), 4 tablets (2.5 mg), 6 tablets (3.75 mg) or 8 tablets (5 mg) taken at a time, once a day. The starting dose may be even lower and the amount of increase may be even smaller according to the age or symptoms.
As a maintenance dose, take 2 to 8 tablets (1.25 to 5 mg) at a time, once a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to the medicinal effects. However, the maximum daily dose is 8 tablets (5 mg) at a time, once a day.
Strictly follow the instructions.
If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. You should never take two doses at one time.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Cautions

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
If you have bradycardia, atrioventricular block, sinoatrial block, sick sinus syndrome, diabetic ketoacidosis, metabolic acidosis, cardiogenic shock, right heart failure due to pulmonary hypertension, decompensated heart failure, peripheral circulatory disorder or untreated pheochromocytoma.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or possibly pregnant.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
This medicine may cause dizziness or light headedness. Pay attention when operating dangerous machinery, such as driving a car.
Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
Discard the remainder. Do not store them.

Contraindication

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include bradycardia, dizziness, dizziness on standing up, respiratory distress, rash, itch of the skin, malaise and edema. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
