This medicine blocks dopamine receptor in central nerve and suppresses the action of dopamine, a neurotransmitter, to improve the symptoms of excitation/aggression.
It is usually used to improve aggressive behavior, psychiatric excitation, wandering behavior and delirium accompanied with cerebral infarction sequelae, and treat idiopathic dyskinesia and dyskinesia (munching movement of mouth or tongue) accompanied with parkinsonism.

It is usually used to improve aggressive behavior, psychiatric excitation, wandering behavior and delirium accompanied with cerebral infarction sequelae, and treat idiopathic dyskinesia and dyskinesia (munching movement of mouth or tongue) accompanied with parkinsonism.

Usage/Dosage

In general, for adults, take 1 to 2 tablets (25 to 50 mg of tiapride) at a time, 3 times a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age and symptoms. For dyskinesia accompanied with parkinsonism, the initial dose is recommended to be started with 1 tablet (25 mg) at a time, once a day. Srictly follow the instructions.
If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Cautions

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods. If you have pituitary tumor (prolactinoma).
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
This medicine may cause sleepiness, dizziness/light headedness. Do not operate dangerous machinery such as driving a car.
Alcohol drinking may enhance the effect of this medicine. Refrain from drinking alcohol.
Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from light, heat and moisture.
Discard the remainder. Do not store them.

Contraindication

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include rash, itching, parkinsonian syndrome (tremoring limbs, drooling), sleepiness, dizziness/light headedness, nausea/vomiting and fever. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
muscle stiffness, tachycardia, fever[malignant syndrome]
a state in complete loss of consciousness[coma]
a state in sudden onset of muscle contraction[convulsion]
chest pain, palpitation, chest discomfort[prolonged QT, ventricular tachycardia]
