It is usually used to treat pain/inflammation associated with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lower back pain, frozen shoulder, neck-shoulder-arm syndrome, tooth pain or after surgery, injury or tooth extraction. It is also used to treat fever and pain caused by acute upper respiratory tract inflammation.

Usage/Dosage

For inflammation/pain associated with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lower back pain, frozen shoulder, neck-shoulder-arm syndrome, tooth pain or after surgery, injury or tooth extraction: In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (60 mg of loxoprofen sodium) at a time, 3 times a day. For as-needed use, take 1 to 2 tablets (60 to 120 mg) at a time.
For fever and pain caused by acute upper respiratory tract inflammation: In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (60 mg of loxoprofen sodium) at a time as needed. As a rule, up to twice a day, the maximum daily dose is 3 tablets (180 mg).
In any case, the dosage may be adjusted according to the disease, age or symptoms. Avoid taking this medicine on an empty stomach. Strictly follow the instructions.
If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. You should never take two doses at one time.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Cautions

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
If you have peptic ulcer, blood abnormality, liver or renal disorder, cardiac function failure, aspirin-induced asthma or a history of it.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
Discard the remainder. Do not store them.

Contraindication

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include rash, itch, hives, fever, abdominal pain, gastric distress, loss of appetite, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, peptic ulcer, ulcer of small intestine/large intestine, drowsiness, and edema. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
decreased blood pressure, hives, edema of larynx[shock, anaphylactoid symptoms]
fever, anemic symptoms, bleeding tendency[agranulocytosis, hemolytic anemia, leukopenia, thrombopenia]
fever, redness and swelling of skin/mucosa with rash or blisters, conjunctival hyperemia[toxic epidermal necrolysis, mucocutaneous ocular syndrome]
decreased urine output, edema, fever[acute renal failure, nephrotic syndrome, interstitial nephritis]
respiratory distress, general edema[congestive heart failure]
