This medicine inhibits the production of aqueous humor through a β-blocking action thus helping to lower intraocular pressure.
It is usually used in the treatment of glaucoma and ocular hypertension.

Usage/Dosage
-
〇 General dosage:
● Apply 1 drop of 1% preparation to each eye, twice daily.
● If the effect of applying 1% preparation is insufficient, apply 1 drop of 2% preparation to each eye, twice daily.
● Strictly follow the instructions.
〇 Apply the medicine not to touch the tip of eye dropper to any surface of your eye.
〇 Lie down on your back to apply the medicine. After applying, close your eyes and gently press on the inside corner of the eye for 1 to 5 minutes, and then open them.
〇 If you miss a dose, apply a dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should not use two doses at one time.
〇 If you accidentally use more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
〇 Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Contraindication
-
● The most commonly reported adverse reactions are following symptoms. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
- ocular symptoms such as irritation, blurred (hazy) vision, itching sensation, conjunctival congestion, dry sensation, punctate keratitis, conjunctival edema, and eye discharge;
- systemic symptoms such as headache, bradycardia, dizziness, taste abnormality (including bitter taste), shortness of breath, nausea and dermatitis.
● The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
- whistling in breathing, difficulty breathing [asthma attack]
- slow pulse, dizziness followed by fainting [syncope]
- slow pulse, shortness of breath, dizziness [bradyarrhythmia]
- general malaise, dyspnoea, generalized edema [congestive heart failure]
- chest pain, sensation of pressure, cold sweat [coronary spastic angina]
