It is usually used to relieve inflammation/swelling after surgery and injury, to relieve inflammation/pain/fever associated with osteoarthritis, lumbar pain, symptomatic neuralgia and headache, and to relieve fever/pain associated with acute upper respiratory tract inflammation.

Usage/Dosage

To relieve inflammation/swelling after surgery and injury, and to relieve inflammation, pain and fever associated with osteoarthritis, lumbar pain, symptomatic neuralgia, headache (when other medicines did not work), sinusitis, menstrual pain, pain after delivery and tooth pain: In general, for adults, take 2 capsules (500 mg of the active ingredient) at a time for the first dose, and then take 1 capsule (250 mg) every 6 hours. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms.
To relieve fever/pain associated with acute upper respiratory tract inflammation (including that accompanied by acute bronchitis): In general, for adults, take 2 capsules (500 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, as needed. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms. As a general rule, take this medicine up to twice a day. The maximum daily dose is 6 capsules (1,500 mg).
In any case, avoid taking this medicine on an empty stomach as much as possible. Strictly follow the instructions.
When this medicine stays in the esophagus, it may cause ulcer of esophagus, so take this medicine with plenty of water. Pay extra attention when taking this medicine before bedtime.
If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Cautions

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itching, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have: peptic ulcer, blood abnormality, liver disorder, renal disorder, cardiac dysfunction, aspirin asthma or its history or hypertension.
If you are a child with flu-induced fever.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
This medicine may cause sleepiness and dizziness. Pay attention when you operate dangerous machinery, such as driving a car.
Keep out of reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
Discard the remainder. Do not store them.

Contraindication

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include gastrointestinal disorder, nausea, diarrhea/loose stools, rash, thrombocytopenic purpura, hives, redness, itching and vomiting blood. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
cold sweat, breathing difficulty, numbness in the limbs [shock, anaphylaxis]
symptoms of anemia, headache/sore throat, high fever with chills and shivering [hemolytic anemia, agranulocytosis]
palpitation, dizziness, bleeding tendency [bone marrow aplasia]
fever, redness/blister of skin/mucous membrane, pharyngeal pain [toxic epidermal necrosis, oculomucocutaneous syndrome]
decreased urine output, edema, loss of appetite [acute renal disorder, nephrotic syndrome, interstitial nephritis]
pain and tenderness in the pit of the stomach, vomiting, diarrhea [peptic ulcer, colitis]
general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin and white of the eyes [fulminant hepatitis, liver dysfunction, jaundice]
