This medicine promotes excretion of uric acid into the urine by suppressing reabsorption of uric acid in the renal tubules in order to improve hyperuricemia.
It is usually used to improve hyperuricemia in patients with gout or hypertension with hyperuricemia.

Usage/Dosage

For gout: In general, for adults, take 1 or 2 tablets (25 mg or 50 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day and then take 2 tablets (50 mg) at a time, 1 to 3 times a day as the maintenance dose.
For hypertension with hyperuricemia: In general, for adults, take 2 tablets (50 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 1 to 3 times a day.
In any case, the dosage may be adjusted according to the disease, age or symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions.
If you miss a dose, take the missed dose when you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine
Liver function tests are carried out on a regular basis for the first six months after the start of treatment. Liver function tests may also be performed on a regular basis after the sixth month. Do not miss appointments with your doctor.
Uric acid stones and symptoms (bloody urine, renal colic) due to these stones may develop easily if you have acidic urine. To prevent these symptoms, take plenty of water to increase urinary volume and alkalize urine. However, if you have been instructed to restrict fluid intake, please follow the instructions.

Contraindication

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include gastric distress, gastrointestinal disorder, itch, rash, hives, facial redness, erythema, photosensitivity, jaundice and diarrhea. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
