      This medicine is a quinolone class antibacterial agent which inhibits reproduction of bacterial DNA, and shows bactericidal effect.
      It is usually used to treat infections such as respiratory/urinary/skin infections.
  • Feature
      white to faint yellow tablet, diameter: 7.0 mm, thickness: 3.5 mm
  • Effect/Efficacy
      This medicine is a quinolone class antibacterial agent which inhibits reproduction of bacterial DNA, and shows bactericidal effect.
      It is usually used to treat infections such as respiratory/urinary/skin infections.
  • Usage/Dosage
      In general, for adults, take 1 to 2 tablets (100 to 200 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 3 to 4 times a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to the symptoms. However, if using this medicine for treating typhoid or paratyphoid, take 4 tablets (400 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 3 times a day, for 14 days. In any case, strictly follow the instructions.
      If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
      If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Cautions
      If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itching, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
      If you have: renal dysfunction, convulsive diseases such as epilepsy or a history of these diseases, myasthenia gravis.
      If you have aortic aneurysm or aortic dissection, or have a history or family history of these, or Marfan syndrome, etc..
      If you are pregnant, possibly pregnant or breastfeeding.
      If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

      Keep out the reach of children. Store at room temperature (1 to 30 degrees Celsius) away from direct sunlight and moisture.
      Discard the remainder. Do not store them. If you do not know how to discard them, ask the pharmacy or medical institution where you received them. Do not give this medicine to anyone else.
  • Contraindication
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include rash, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and vertigo. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

      breathing difficulty, reddened and itchy body, swollen eye and lip[shock, anaphylaxis]
      fever, loss of appetite, generalized fatigability[Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN), mucocutaneous ocular syndrome (Stevens-Johnsons syndrome), exfoliative dermatitis]
      muscle spasmodically contracting, difficulty in thinking, drooping eyelids[convulsion, confusion, Guillain-Barre syndrome, exacerbation of myasthenia gravis]
      muscle pain of the limbs, stiffness, red urine[rhabdomyolysis]
      generalized fatigability, nausea, yellowness in skin or in conjunctiva[liver dysfunction, jaundice]
      The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.
