It is usually used to treat essential hypertension (mild to moderate), angina and tachyarrhythmia.

Usage/Dosage

Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is (( to be written by a healthcare professional))
In general, for adults, take 2 tablets (50 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day.
It should be adjusted according to age and symptoms of the patient. DO NOT exceed the daily maximum dosage, 4 tablets (100 mg of the active ingredient), at a time. Strictly follow the instructions.
If you are ordered to use this medicine on regular schedule and you missed a dose, take dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
If you have taken or believe you may have taken excessive Tenormin 25, check with your doctor/pharmacist immediately
Do not stop taking the medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Cautions

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have: diabetic ketoacidosis, metabolic acidosis, bradycardia, atrioventricular block, sinoatrial block, sick sinus syndrome, cardiogenic shock, right heart failure caused by pulmonary hypertension, congestive heart failure, hypotension, peripheral circulatory disorder, untreated phaeochromocytoma.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
This medicine may cause dizziness/wobbly walking. Pay attention to working at heights or operating dangerous machinery such as driving a car.
Keep out of reach of children. Store away from heat, humidity and light.
Discard remaining medicine; do not store them.

Contraindication

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include bradycardia, dizziness, fatigue, rash, itch, vision disorder, blurred vision and decreased tears. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
fatigue, respiratory distress, body swelling [heart failure, cardiothoracic ratio increased]
bradycardia, disturbed pulse, conscious disorder [infrequent pulse, atrioventricular block, sinoatrial block]
light-headedness, dizziness, syncope (fainting) [orthostatic hypotension with syncope]
shortness of breath, respiratory distress, wheezing [respiratory distress, bronchospasm, wheezing]
bleeding from nose/gum, bruising, subcutaneous bleeding [thrombocytopenia, purpura]
