      This medicine blocks histamine H2 receptors of the cells of the stomach wall and suppresses the secretion of gastric acid.
      It is usually used to treat gastric ulcer or reflux esophagitis and to improve gastric mucosal lesions associated with acute gastritis and acute exacerbation of chronic gastritis. It is also used for anesthetic premedication.

  • Usage/Dosage
      For gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, anastomotic ulcer, reflux esophagitis: In general, for adults, take 1 capsule (75 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, twice a day, after breakfast and after dinner or before bedtime. You may also take 2 capsules (150 mg) at a time, once a day before bedtime. In general, for children weighing under 30 kg, take 37.5 mg of the active ingredient at a time, for children weighing over 30 kg, take 1 capsule (75 mg) at a time, twice a day, after breakfast and after dinner or before bedtime.
      For Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: In general, for adults, take 1 capsule (75 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, twice a day, after breakfast and after dinner or before bedtime. In general, for children weighing under 30 kg, take 37.5 mg of the active ingredient at a time, for children weighing over 30 kg, take 75 mg at a time, twice a day, after breakfast and after dinner or before bedtime.
      For anesthetic premedication: In general, for adults, take 1 capsule (75 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, twice (once before bedtime on the day before surgery and once 2 hours before anesthesia induction on the day of surgery). You may also take 2 capsules (150 mg) at a time once before bedtime on the day before surgery. In general, for children weighing under 30 kg, take 37.5 mg of the active ingredient at a time and for children weighing over 30 kg, take 75 mg at a time, twice (once before bedtime on the day before surgery and once 2 hours before anesthesia induction on the day of surgery).
      For gastric mucosal lesions of acute gastritis and acute exacerbation of chronic gastritis: In general, for adults, take 1 capsule (75 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day after dinner or before bedtime. In general, for children weighing under 30 kg, take 37.5 mg of the active ingredient at a time and for children weighing over 30 kg, take 75 mg at a time, once a day, after dinner or before bedtime.
      The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms except for anesthetic premedication. This medicine contains 75 mg of the active ingredient in a capsule. Strictly follow the instructions.
      If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.

  • Cautions
      If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
      If you have liver or renal disorder.
      If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
      If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
      Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
      Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
  • Contraindication
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include constipation, rash and itch. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

      discomfort, facial pallor, dizziness on standing up[shock]
      general malaise, subcutaneous/submucosal bleeding, fever[aplastic anemia, pancytopenia, agranulocytosis, decreased platelets]
      fever, bloodshot eyes, erythema[toxic epidermal necrolysis, mucocutaneous ocular syndrome]
      general malaise, loss of appetite, yellow discoloration of the skin and the white of eyes[liver dysfunction, jaundice]
      muscle pain, lassitude, reddish brown urine[rhabdomyolysis]
      The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.
