Description

This medicine is an antituberculous antibiotic which inhibits cell wall synthesis of tubercle bacilli to exert its antibacterial effect.
It is usually used to treat pulmonary tuberculosis and other forms of tuberculosis.

Effect/Efficacy

This medicine is an antituberculous antibiotic which inhibits cell wall synthesis of tubercle bacilli to exert its antibacterial effect.
It is usually used to treat pulmonary tuberculosis and other forms of tuberculosis.

Usage/Dosage

For adults: In general, take 1 tablet (250 mg [titer] of the active ingredient) at a time, twice a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age and body weight. This medicine is taken with other medicines for tuberculosis in principle. Strictly follow the instructions.
If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. If there is less than 3 hours to the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Cautions

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have a mental disorder such as epilepsy, or nephropathy.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Pay attention while using this medicine since this medicine may intensify the effects of alcohol.

Keep out of reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
Discard the remainder. Do not store them.

Contraindication

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include dizziness, headache, tremor (trembling of hands and feet), sleepiness, hyperreflexia, joint pain, loss of/impaired memory ability, insomnia, rash, fever and itching. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

muscle (part or whole) tremor or stiffness, muscle spasmodically contracting [epileptic attack, convulsion]
