  • Description
      This medicine exerts a selective binding of mineralocorticoid receptor and inhibits activation of mineralocorticoid receptor by aldosterone in order to control blood pressure.
      It is usually used to treat hypertension.
  • Feature
      faintly yellowish white tablet, diameter: 6.6 mm, thickness: ca. 3.2 mm
  • Effect/Efficacy
      This medicine exerts a selective binding of mineralocorticoid receptor and inhibits activation of mineralocorticoid receptor by aldosterone in order to control blood pressure.
      It is usually used to treat hypertension.
  • Usage/Dosage
      In general, for adults, take 2 tablets (2.5 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day. The dose can be increased up to 4 tablets (5 mg) a day. However, you need to start with 1 tablet (1.25mg) daily based on your renal function, etc. Strictly follow the instructions.
      If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
      If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Cautions
      If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions ( itch, rash, etc. ) to any medicines.
      If you have: hyperkalemia or renal dysfunction.
      If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
      If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
      With your blood pressure dropping, you may feel dizzy/lightheaded. Pay attention when you work at heights or operate dangerous machinery such as driving a car while you take this medicine.
      Avoid taking any food containing St. John's wort, since it may diminish medicinal effects.
      Keep out of reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
      Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
  • Contraindication
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include anemia, dizziness and headache. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
