This medicine is a selective receptor agonist to suppress itch. It suppresses itch when other existing antihistamine or antiallergic medicines are ineffectual.
It is usually used to improve itch of the patients on hemodialysis which other existing treatment is insufficient.

Usage/Dosage
-
In general, for adults, take 1 tablets (2.5 μg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day, after dinner or before bedtime. The dosage may be adjusted according to the symptoms of the patient. The maximum daily dose is 2 tablets (5 μg).
Strictly follow the instructions.
Leave a sufficient time interval between taking this medicine and receiving hemodialysis.
In case you are instructed to take this medicine after dinner and you have realized you missed a dose by bedtime, take a dose as soon as possible. In other cases, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Cautions

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
This medicine may cause sleepiness and dizziness. Avoid operating in potentially hazardous activities such as driving a car.
Do not take grapefruit juice and the medicine together as the components of it may intensify the effect of this medicine.
Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from light, heat and moisture.
Discard the remainder. Do not store them. Ask the pharmacist or medical facility how to discared unneeded medicine.

Contraindication

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include insomnia, constipation and sleepiness. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin and the white of eyes [liver dysfunction, jaundice]
