This medicine improves the symptoms of excitement/aggression by blocking the receptors for neurotransmitters in the brain (dopamine).
It is usually used to improve aggressive behavior/mental excitement/wandering/delirium associated with aftereffects of cerebral infarction and to treat idiopathic dyskinesia or dyskinesia associated with parkinsonism.

Usage/Dosage
-
In general, for adults, take 25 to 50 mg of tiapride at a time, 3 times a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to the disease, age or symptoms. For dyskinesia associated with parkinsonism, it is recommended to start with 25 mg at a time, once a day. This medicine contains 50 mg of tiapride in a tablet. Strictly follow the instructions.
If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. You should never take two doses at one time.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Cautions

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have prolactin-secreting pituitary tumor (prolactinoma).
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
This medicine may cause sleepiness, dizziness/light headedness. Avoid operating dangerous machinery, such as driving a car.
Alcohol (drinking) may intensify medicinal effects. Refrain from drinking while taking this medicine.
Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
Discard the remainder. Do not store them.

Contraindication

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include Parkinson's syndrome (shivering of limbs, drooling and gait disturbance), drowsiness, dizziness/light headedness, dry mouth, rash and itch. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
remaining motionless, muscle stiffness, swallowing difficulty [malignant syndrome]
complete loss of consciousness [coma]
convulsion [convulsion]
chest pain, palpitation, shortness of breath [QT prolongation, ventricular tachycardia]
