  • Description
      This medicine has diuretic effect and is effective in reducing brain pressure, intraocular pressure and endolymphatic pressure by heightening plasma osmotic pressure.
      It is usually used to reduce accelerated intracranial pressure due to brain tumor/head injury or intraocular pressure of glaucoma. It is also used as diuretics for excreting kidney/urinary stones and to treat Meniere's disease.
  • Effect/Efficacy
      This medicine has diuretic effect and is effective in reducing brain pressure, intraocular pressure and endolymphatic pressure by heightening plasma osmotic pressure.
      It is usually used to reduce accelerated intracranial pressure due to brain tumor/head injury or intraocular pressure of glaucoma. It is also used as diuretics for excreting kidney/urinary stones and to treat Meniere's disease.
  • Usage/Dosage
      Reducing brain pressure, intraocular pressure and for diuretics: In general, for adults, take 3.5 to 7 cups (49 to 98 g of the active ingredient) daily, in 2 to 3 divided doses.
      Meniere's disease: In general, for adults, standard daily dose per body weight is 1.5 to 2.0 g/kg (1.05 to 1.4 g of the active ingredient), and take 4.5 to 6 cups (63 to 84 g) daily, in 3 divided doses after meals. The dosage may be adjusted according to the symptoms.
      1 cup contains 14 g of the active ingredient. Strictly follow the instructions.
      If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
      If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Cautions
      If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
      If you have acute intracranial hematoma.
      If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
      If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
      Keep this medicine out of the reach of children and away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
      Do not open the aluminum package until just before taking. Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
      This medicine contains natural agar (vegetable gelatine). The effect/quality of the medicine is unharmed even if the jelly may change its softness.
  • Contraindication
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, rash and erythema. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
