      It is usually used in the treatment of gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, gastritis and esophagitis.

  • Effect/Efficacy
      This medicine selectively blocks the histamine 2 receptors on the gastric mucosa, thus suppressing the secretion of stomach acid.
      It is usually used in the treatment of gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, gastritis and esophagitis.
  • Usage/Dosage
      For the treatment of gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, anastomotic ulcer, upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage(caused by peptic ulcer, acute stress ulcer, or hemorrhagic gastritis), reflux esophagitis, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome:
      In general, for adults, take 1 tablets (20mg of the active ingredient) at a time, twice daily (after breakfast, and after supper or before going to bed). You may also take 2 tablets (40mg) at a time, once daily (before going to bed).

      For the treatment of gastric mucosal lesions associated with acute gastritis and acute exacerbation of chronic gastritis(erosion, bleeding, redness and edema):
      In general, for adults, take 10mg at a time, twice daily (after breakfast, and after supper or before going to bed). You may also take 1 tablets (20mg) at a time, once daily (before going to bed).

      The dosage may be adjusted according to your disease, age or symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.
      If you have missed a dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT take double doses to make up for the missed dose.
      If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Cautions
      Storage conditions and other information

      Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
      Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
  • Contraindication
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include rash, eruption, hives (erythema), facial edema, irregular menstruation,gynecomastia and galactorrhoea. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

      breathing difficulty, systemic flush, hives[shock, anaphylaxis]
      general malaise,lassitude,subcutaneous bleeding, submucosal bleeding[aplastic anemia, pancytopenia, agranulocytosis, hemolytic anemia, decrease in platelets]
      high fever,lip erosion or genital erosion,bloodshot eyes[mucocutaneous ocular syndrome, toxic epidermal necrosis]
      general malaise, yellowing of the skin or white of the eye, loss of appetite[hepatic dysfunction, jaundice]
      muscle ache, feeling of weakness, reddish brown urine[rhabdomyolysis]
