      This medicine blocks the histamine H2 receptors on the gastric mucosa to suppress the secretion of stomach acid.
      It is usually used to treat gastric ulcer and reflux esophagitis, etc. and improve gastric mucosal lesion in acute gastritis and acute exacerbation of chronic gastritis.

  • Effect/Efficacy
      This medicine blocks the histamine H2 receptors on the gastric mucosa to suppress the secretion of stomach acid.
      It is usually used to treat gastric ulcer and reflux esophagitis, etc. and improve gastric mucosal lesion in acute gastritis and acute exacerbation of chronic gastritis.
  • Usage/Dosage
      Gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, anastomotic ulcer, upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage (caused by peptic ulcer, acute stress ulcer, hemorrhagic gastritis), reflux esophagitis and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome : In general, for adults, take 2 tablets (20 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, twice a day, after breakfast, and after dinner or before bedtime. You may also take 4 tablets (40 mg) at a time, once a day, before bedtime.
      For the improvement of gastric mucosal lesions in acute gastritis and acute exacerbation of chronic gastritis (erosion, bleeding, redness, edema) : In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (10 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, twice a day, after breakfast, and after dinner or before bedtime. You may also take 2 tablets (20 mg) at a time, once a day, before bedtime.
      The dosage may be adjusted according to disease, age and symptoms of the patient in any case. Strictly follow the instructions.
      This medicine may be taken without water. It may be moistened with saliva on the tongue, then lightly squashed with the tongue, and swallowed with saliva. It may also be taken with water or lukewarm water like usual drugs.
      If you miss a dose, take a dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
      If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Cautions
      If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
      If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
      If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
      Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
      Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
  • Contraindication
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include constipation, rash/skin rash, hives (erythema), facial edema, menstrual irregularity, gynecomastia and galactorrhea. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
      respiratory distress, generalized flush, angioedema (facial edema, pharyngeal edema, etc.) [shock, anaphylaxis]
      general malaise, lassitude, subcutaneous/submucosal bleeding, fever [aplastic anemia, pancytopenia, agranulocytosis, hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia]
      high fever, bloodshot eyes, general malaise [mucocutaneous-ocular syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis]
      general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes [liver dysfunction, jaundice]
      muscular pain in limbs, lassitude, reddish brown urine [rhabdomyolysis]
      The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.
