      This medicine is a phenothiazine antihistamine/antiparkinsonian medicine which suppresses allergic reactions and symptoms of Parkinson's disease. It suppresses the central nervous system, etc., and shows anesthetic/sleep enhancement effects as well as antipyretic/analgesic/antiemetic actions.

  • Effect/Efficacy
      This medicine is a phenothiazine antihistamine/antiparkinsonian medicine which suppresses allergic reactions and symptoms of Parkinson's disease. It suppresses the central nervous system, etc., and shows anesthetic/sleep enhancement effects as well as antipyretic/analgesic/antiemetic actions.

      It is usually used to to treat shaking palsy, parkinsonism, allergic rhinitis, itch associated with skin diseases (eczema/dermatitis, cutaneous pruritus, drug eruption and toxicoderma), hives, sneezing/nasal discharge/cough due to cold, motion sickness, pollinosis and vasomotor edema. It is also used in preanesthetic medication and artificial (drug-induced) hibernation.
  • Usage/Dosage
      〇 General dosage:
        ● For shaking palsy and parkinsonism:
          - For adults, take 5 to 40 tablets (25 to 200 mg of the active ingredient) in several divided doses a day.
        ● For other conditions:
          - For adults, take 1 to 5 tablets (5 to 25 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 1 to 3 times a day.
        ● The dosage may be adjusted according to your disease, age or symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions.

      〇 If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. You should never take two doses at one time.
      〇 If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      〇 Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Contraindication
      ● The most commonly reported adverse reactions If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
        - drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, rash, photosensitivity, liver disorder, sweating and dizziness.
      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
        - muscle stiffness, tachycardia, fever [malignant syndrome]
        - (When administered to children) sudden death, breathing stops during sleep [sudden infant death syndrome, episodes of infant sleep apnea]
      The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.
