  • Description
      This medicine stimulates large-intestinal mucosa to activate intestinal movement. It also suppresses water absorption from gastrointestinal tract and soften the stool to improve bowel movement.
      It is usually used to treat various constipation, support of postoperative defecation, stimulate defecation after taking contrast agent (barium sulfate) and to eliminate intestinal contents before surgery.

  • Effect/Efficacy
      This medicine stimulates large-intestinal mucosa to activate intestinal movement. It also suppresses water absorption from gastrointestinal tract and soften the stool to improve bowel movement.
      It is usually used to treat various constipation, support of postoperative defecation, stimulate defecation after taking contrast agent (barium sulfate) and to eliminate intestinal contents before surgery.
  • Usage/Dosage
      For constipations: In general, for adults, take 10 to 15 drops (0.67 to 1.0 mL, 5 to 7.5 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day. For children aged 6 months or younger, take 2 drops (0.13 mL); 7 to 12 months, 3 drops (0.20 mL); 1 to 3 years, 6 drops (0.40 mL); 4 to 6 years, 7 drops (0.46 mL); 7 to 15 years, 10 drops (0.67 mL) at a time, once a day.
      For support of postoperative defecation: In general, for adults, take 10 to 15 drops (0.67 to 1.0 mL, 5 to 7.5 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day.
      For stimulation of defecation after taking contrast agent (barium sulfate): In general, for adults, take 6 to 15 drops (0.40 to 1.0 mL, 3 to 7.5 mg of the active ingredient).
      For elimination of intestinal contents before surgery: In general, for adults, take 14 drops (0.93 mL, 7.0 mg of the active ingredient).
      The dosage may be adjusted according to your age and symptoms in any case. Strictly follow the instructions.
      Not for ophthalmic use. If the medicine accidentally gets into the eye, wash the eye with running water well immediately. If you notice any abnormality, visit your doctor or ophthalmologist.
      If you miss a dose, for constipations, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should not take two doses at one time.
      If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Cautions
      If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
      If you are suspected of having acute abdomen (abdominal pain).
      If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
      If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
  • Contraindication
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include rash. hives, abdominal discomfort, abdominal bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea and nausea. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
