      This medicine suppresses the abnormal proliferation of immature bone marrow by inhibiting cellular DNA synthesis.
      It is usually used for chronic myeloid leukemia, essential thrombocythemia and polycythemia vera.

  • Effect/Efficacy
      This medicine suppresses the abnormal proliferation of immature bone marrow by inhibiting cellular DNA synthesis.
      It is usually used for chronic myeloid leukemia, essential thrombocythemia and polycythemia vera.
  • Usage/Dosage
      In general, for adults, take 1 to 4 capsules (500 to 2,000 mg of the active ingredient) in 1 to 3 divided doses a day. For maintenance after remission, take 1 or 2 capsules (500 to 1,000 mg) in 1 or 2 divided doses a day. The initial dose or maintenance dose may be adjusted according to the symptoms, age or body weight. Strictly follow the instructions.
      If you missed a dose, take the prescribed dosage when you notice. You can take more than one dose within the day you missed a dose, but you should never take two-days doses at one time. Take the next dose at the prescribed schedule.
      If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Cautions
      If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
      If you have impaired renal/hepatic function, low level of white blood cells or other blood components, cold or chicken pox.
      If you are pregnant, possibly pregnant or breastfeeding.
      If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

      Visit your doctor regularly to check the effects or adverse reactions of this medicine.
      If you or your partner have a possibility of pregnancy, avoid pregnancy while you are taking this medicine and for a certain period after you discontinue this medicine.

      Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from light, heat and moisture.
      Discard the remainder. Do not store them. Ask your pharmacist or healthcare facility how to discard.
  • Contraindication
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include rash/eruption, nausea/vomiting, and anemia. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
      fever, chill, cough, nasal discharge, dizziness, bleeding tendency, continuous bleeding, bruise, dullness, easy faigability, shortness of breath, sore throat [bone marrow depression]
      fever, cough, breathing difficulty [interstitial pneumonia]
      lower limbs ulcer [skin ulcer]
