      This medicine shows antibacterial effect by inhibiting bacterial DNA replication. It is a new quinolone antimicrobial to be used in the treatment of infection.
      It is usually used in the treatment of wide-range infections such as respiratory infections, urinary tract infections and otorhinological infections.

  • Effect/Efficacy
      This medicine shows antibacterial effect by inhibiting bacterial DNA replication. It is a new quinolone antimicrobial to be used in the treatment of infection.
      It is usually used in the treatment of wide-range infections such as respiratory infections, urinary tract infections and otorhinological infections.
  • Usage/Dosage
      In general, for adults, take 2 to 3 tablets (300 to 450 mg of the active ingredient) daily, in 2 to 3 divided doses. The dosage may be adjusted according to the disease, age or symptoms. If symptoms are severe or if the effect is insufficient, it may be increased up to 4 tablets (600 mg) daily.
      For osteomyelitis, arthritis: In general, for adults, take 3 tablets (450 mg of the active ingredient) daily, in 3 divided doses. The dosage may be adjusted according to the disease, age or symptoms. If symptoms are severe or if the effect is insufficient, it may be increased up to 4 tablets (600 mg) daily.
      For typhoid, paratyphoid: In general, for adults, take 4 tablets (600 mg of the active ingredient) daily, in 4 divided doses, for 14 days.
      Strictly follow the instructions in any case.
      If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
      If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Cautions
      Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist
      If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
      If you have: renal disorder, convulsive disease such as epilepsy or a history of convulsive disease, myasthenia gravis.
      If you are pregnant, possibly pregnant or breastfeeding.
      If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
      Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
      Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
  • Contraindication
      Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include rash, itch, hives, fever, photosensitivity, numbness, tremor, hallucination, gastric distress/stomach discomfort and diarrhea/loose stool. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
      breathing difficulty, swelling around eyes or lips, redness  [shock, anaphylaxis]
      red rash in the skin, blister, bulbar conjunctival congestion  [toxic epidermal necrosis, oculomucocutaneous syndrome]
      general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowing in the skin and the conjunctiva  [hepatic function disorder, jaundice]
      abdominal pain, diarrhea, melena  [serious colitis with bloody stool such as pseudomembranous colitis]
      muscular pain in limbs, weakness, reddish brown urine  [rhabdomyolysis]
      The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.
