Description

This medicine is an antibiotic and suppresses the growth of bacteria by inhibiting synthesis of bacterial cell wall. This medicine also contains an ingredient that inhibits enzymes that break down drugs (beta-lactamases) produced by some bacteria.
It is usually used to treat infections such as skin, respiratory, genitourinary and otorhinologic infections.

Effect/Efficacy

This medicine is an antibiotic and suppresses the growth of bacteria by inhibiting synthesis of bacterial cell wall. This medicine also contains an ingredient that inhibits enzymes that break down drugs (beta-lactamases) produced by some bacteria.
It is usually used to treat infections such as skin, respiratory, genitourinary and otorhinologic infections.

Usage/Dosage

In general, for adults, take 2 tablets at a time, 3 to 4 times a day in 6- to 8-hour intervals. The dosage may be adjusted according to the disease, age or symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions.
If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Cautions

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have infectious mononucleosis.
If you, your parents or your brothers/sisters have allergic predisposition (susceptibility to bronchial asthma, rash, hives, etc.), or previously experienced jaundice or hepatic dysfunction.
If you have renal disorder.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Contraindication

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loose stool and abdominal pain), skin symptoms (rash and hives), edema/swelling and headache. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

breathing difficulty, rash, cold sweat [shock, anaphylaxis]
fever, rash, redness in the eye [toxic epidermal necrolysis, mucocutaneous ocular syndrome, erythema multiforme]
throat pain, headache, muscle pain [agranulocytosis, granulocytopenia]
decreased urine output, general edema [acute renal failure]
abdominal pain, diarrhea, bloody stool [colitis pseudomembranous, hemorrhagic colitis]
loss of appetite, general malaise, yellow discoloration of the skin or white of the eyes [liver disorder]
dry cough, breathing difficulty, fever [interstitial pneumonia, eosinophilic pneumonia]
