Description
This medicine suppresses calcium ion influx into cells which causes contraction of the heart and vessels, to dilate the coronary vessel and to decrease total peripheral vascular resistance. It consequently shows antihypertensive effects and antianginal effects.
It is usually used in the treatment of essential hypertension, renal hypertension and angina pectoris.

This medicine suppresses calcium ion influx into cells which causes contraction of the heart and vessels, to dilate the coronary vessel and to decrease total peripheral vascular resistance. It consequently shows antihypertensive effects and antianginal effects.
It is usually used in the treatment of essential hypertension, renal hypertension and angina pectoris.
Usage/Dosage
○ General dosage is as follows.
● For adults, take 2 capsules (10 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, three times daily.
● The dosage may be adjusted according to the symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.
○ Swallow the medicine without chewing. If you chew and swallow it, the blood concentration will increase and may cause sudden hypotension.
○ Take a dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT take double doses to make up for the missed dose.
○ If you took too much of the medicine (more than ordered), check with your doctor/pharmacist.
○ Do not stop taking the medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Contraindication
● Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist.
- facial flush, dizziness, headache, jaundice, chest pain, upper abdominal pain, rash, itch, photosensitivity, purpura, gingival hyperplasia, anemia, breathing difficulty, gynecomastia, etc.
● The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
- general redness, skin exfoliation, fever, general malaise [erythroderma (exfoliative dermatitis)]
- headache, fever, throat pain, muscle pain, nasal bleeding, subcutaneous bleeding [agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia]
- facial pallor, cold sweat, orthostatic dizziness, decreased conscious [shock]
- decreased conscious, disturbed thinking, decreased judgement [conscious disorder]
- general malaise, yellowing in the skin and the white of the eye, loss of appetite [hepatic dysfunction, jaundice]
