  • Description

  • Effect/Efficacy
      This medicine shows platelet aggregation inhibition by selectively inhibiting synthesis of prostagrandines in platelet to prevent blood clotting and vessel construction.
      It is usually used to prevent thrombus and embolus formation in angina, myocardial infarction and after coronary artery bypass graft surgery, etc.
  • Usage/Dosage
      In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (100 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day. The dosage may be increased up to 3 tablets (300 mg) at a time according to disease and symptoms of the patient. Strictly follow the instructions.
      Unless instructed by your doctor, swallow the medicine as whole without chewing or cracking as it is an enteric coated tablet. Do not take on an empty stomach.
      If you miss a dose, take a dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
      If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Cautions
      If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
      If you have peptic ulcer, bleeding tendency, aspirin-induced asthma or a history of it.
      If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
      If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
      Refrain from drinking alcohol while taking the medicine as gastrointestinal bleeding may be induced and intensified.
      Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
      Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
  • Contraindication
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include gastrointestinal disorder, hives, rash, edema, anemia, platelet hypofunction (prolonged bleeding time), dizziness, headache, excitation, hyperpnea, malaise and hypoglycemia. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
      respiratory distress, generalized flush, angioedema [shock, anaphylaxis]
      headache, nausea/vomiting, blood vomiting/melena [intracranial/gastrointestinal bleeding]
      fever, bloodshot eyes, facial and general redness [toxic epidermal necrolysis, mucocutaneous-ocular syndrome, exfoliative dermatitis]

      breathing difficulty, wheezing [asthma attack]
