This medicine decreases blood pressure by blocking β-receptors. It also suppresses excess activity of heart and prevents angina attacks.
It is usually used to treat essential hypertension (mild to moderate) and angina pectoris.

Usage/Dosage

For essential hypertension: In general, for adults, take 1 capsule (60 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day. The dosage may be increased up to 2 capsules (120 mg) at a time, once a day, according to the symptoms.
For angina pectoris: In general, for adults, take 1 capsule (60 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day.
In any case, strictly follow the instructions.
This medicine is a sustained release capsule. Do not chew.
If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. You should never take two doses at one time.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have bronchial asthma, bronchospasm, diabetic ketoacidosis, metabolic acidosis, bradycardia, atrioventricular or sinoatrial block, sick sinus syndrome, cardiogenic shock, right-sided heart failure due to pulmonary hypertension, congestive heart failure, hypotension, long fasting state, peripheral circulatory disorder, untreated pheochromocytoma and variant angina pectoris.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
This medicine may cause dizziness or light headedness due to decreased blood pressure. Pay close attention when operating dangerous machinery, such as driving a car.
Alcohol (drinking) may diminish or intensify medicinal effects. Refrain from drinking while taking this medicine.

Contraindication

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include rash, hives, headache, dizziness, visual disorder, foggy vision (blurring of eyes), decreased lacrimal secretion, nausea, malaise, edema and hyperlipidemia. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
shortness of breath, easier to breath when sitting up than when lying down, general edema [heart failure, cardiac dilatation]
shortness of breath, syncope, coldness of limbs [bradycardia, atrioventricular block, peripheral ischemia]
dizziness on standing up, dizziness [orthostatic hypotension with syncope]
sore throat, bleeding tendency, bruise due to subcutaneous bleeding [agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia, purpura]
breathing difficulty, sudden shortness of breath, wheezing [respiratory distress, bronchospasm, wheezing]
